Daymon Solar Panel Project
On January 29, 2009 Daymon Worldwide held a press conference in the Resource Center here to officially unveil its new solar power system in front of a crowd that included the Mayor of Stamford; members of the local press corps; representatives of the CT Clean Energy Fund; and representatives from local civic organizations, including Junior Achievement.
Daymon’s 350-kilowatt solar PV system is the largest solar panel installation in Stamford , and the third largest in Fairfield County , CT. The 2,002 panels became fully operational in mid-December of 2008. They are expected to supply Daymon with about 20% of the power that it uses annually to run the Stamford office, and save the company approximately $60,000 per year. As pf June 1, 2009, the panels generated nearly 82,000 kilowatt hours of electricity, enough to power 6 average sized homes for a full year.
