Peter Brennan
Peter Brennan began his career with Kroger while studying as an undergraduate at Michigan State. Upon graduation he joined American Home Products National Foods Division as District Manager for the Michigan area.
In 1973, Daymon Associates co-founders Milt Sender and Peter Schwartz hired him as a Retail Representative for the Cleveland, OH-based Allied Supermarkets chain, one of Daymon’s three customers at the time. Peter moved to Buffalo, NY in 1976 to launch Daymon’s operations at the newly acquired Loblaws account, and in 1980, he moved again to Minneapolis to oversee all Daymon/Loblaws Private Brand operations.
In 1982, Peter moved to the Daymon headquarters, then in New York City, to spearhead the development, start-up, and operation of a network of central resource teams, including what would eventually become Daymon Worldwide Design, Daymon Worldwide Trading, and the Business Development Team. Each of these initiatives evolved into critical elements of the Daymon service package and expertise.
In 1992, Peter was appointed the first President of Daymon Associates, Inc. and became a company officer at the same time. In 2007 he was named first Vice Chairman of the Daymon Worldwide Board of Directors.
Peter is active in a number of professional and community groups, including The Agribusiness Program at Harvard Business School; The Private and Public, Scientific, Academic, and Consumer Food Policy Group (PAPSAC); the United Way; YMCA; and St. Mary’s Church in Greenwich, CT. He is also a member of the Food Marketing Institute, CIES, and the Grocery Manufacturers Association Presidents Council.
