On a Roll with Winn-Dixie

You wouldn’t expect to wait nine months for your favorite deli to make your favorite sandwich, but Winn-Dixie had no problem with that time frame to get its best-in-class Private Brand deli program off the ground.
The venerable Florida retailer and Daymon Worldwide worked together like ham on rye to deliver a tantalizing deli program that started out with 19 bulk and six pre-sliced (8oz ) deli meats; 10 bulk and seven pre-sliced (8oz.) cheeses; and 15 salads and side dishes (1 and 3 lb.). And the line continues to grow.
The WD line includes delectable deli staples like hardwood smoked hams, slow roasted turkey and beef selections from premium cuts, all hand-trimmed with no added filler, additives or MSG and are gluten free. The salads use the finest russet potatoes steam cooked to perfection for the best flavor and firmness. Baked beans are slow cooked with succulent, shredded pork and a tangy BBQ sauce. And the cheeses are Wisconsin-made with pure milk. The Cheddar, Swiss, Muenster and Mozzarella varieties are all aged naturally for a full 60 days for optimal flavor and texture.
Even better, to introduce the new deli fare to its customers, Winn-Dixie and Daymon served up sandwiched using the retailer’s Winn and Lovett and Ecce Panis breads – also WD favorites. Now that’s great taste.
