Daymon Worldwide Design Keeps the Winning Streak Going

In April 2010 for the fourth year in a row, and with more than 4,000 entries submitted, Daymon Worldwide Design (DWD) has, once again, received the prestigious American Inhouse Design Awards.

For almost five decades, Graphic Design USA has sponsored national design competitions that spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals. In the 2010 book, DWD stands shoulder to shoulder with 2009 award recipients such as Kimberly-Clark, Golf Digest, McGraw-Hill Creative Services, Pepsi Cola Design Group, and Walmart to name a few.

DWD received four accolades for the following:

Lowes Foods Frozen Novelties - The frozen novelties are a great example of the playful quality that the new Lowes Foods  brand has. DWD took the supplier images and drew colorful illustrations over them. The drawings are themed around places that children (young and old) love to go to, circuses and amusement parks.

Lowes Foods Paper Products - The paper products DWD created for Lowes Foods exemplify the bright colors and contemporary sense of design that has become a hallmark of the new brand. DWD created a unique look that is unified by a strong band of color in the middle of each package. Graphic images are interwoven above and below the band to give differentiation to each family of products or individual item.

Culinaria Brand Development - The Culinaria
brand is an ultra-premium offering in the family of Schnucks Private Brands. Culinaria is for “foodie” consumers who are passionate about unique and delicious experiences. It is also for the discerning customer seeking quality on-the-go meal solutions for themselves and their families. DWD developed a look for the brand that is contemporary and refined.

Winn Dixie Kuddles Diapers - DWD has worked with Winn-Dixie to create a complete brand red since 2005, creating a complete brand re-design for them. Winn-Dixie’s various brands have been consistent award-winners. The Kuddles baby-line differentiates itself on-shelf from other brands. The emotionally engaging photography and unique color palette lends itself to this brand’s success. The launch of this brand has been supported by DWD Brand Activation and promotional efforts at Winn-Dixie. Jeff Hartley, Daymon Business Manager, threw a “baby shower” for more than 9,000 expectant parents in Jacksonville, FL featuring Winn-Dixie Kuddles products.
