The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing each retail partner’s locations in all facets of operations, personnel management and activities relating to successful event demonstration of vendor products in a manner that positively reflects the store image.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Manage operations of stores in assigned areas through subordinate personnel
  • Monitor effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization and quality of demonstrations.  Enforces company standards in these areas
  • Responsible for hiring and training subordinate personnel
  • Accountable for the financials of each assigned store
  • Directly involved in implementing hiring techniques to ensure adequate staff is hired
  • Oversee and monitor all Human Resource issues including counseling, discipline, new hire paper work completion, employee relations, transfers and terminations
  • Responsible for training field leadership on how to prepare all reporting data which includes (DDR) daily demonstration results and payroll input paperwork
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and auditing of reports
  • Train field leadership on handling discrepancies
  • Oversees and ensures staff is trained and knowledgeable in Food Safety, Handling and Sanitation
  • Monitor locations and makes sure all Food Safety & Handling requirements are implemented
  • Responsible for making sure the necessary equipment & supplies are ordered and available as needed
  • Place equipment/supply orders with vendors and S.D. Corporate
  • Conducts inspections during store visits to ensure all equipment is safe and properly working
  • Assure compliance of professional, clean, healthy and safe workplaces related to company and customer specifications
  • Conduct regular staff meetings designed to inform and motivate
  • Act as liaison with the customer and Daymon Interactions Management, Scheduling, Vendors, and Sales Advisors
  • Facilitate problem resolution of operational and personnel issues via various coaching and management tools
  • Coordinate Grand Openings and support of special events
  • Troubleshoot and make recommendations to District Manager for improvements to current procedures
  • Work with other Area Managers to improve operations and provide support
  • Perform other duties assigned by the District Manager, Director of  Operations, or other corporate director

  • Requires a high school degree or equivalent and some college education
  • Three to five years experience in a supervisory capacity in a related industry managing multi-unit locations
  • Must be able to coach and counsel employees and take corrective measures as needed
  • Ability to make sound decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Detail oriented and able to exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced, multi task work environment
  • Strong negotiating skills, a professional demeanor and appearance
  • Must be flexible
  • Decisive self-starter with the ability to use independent judgment and work under pressure
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Extensive travel required
