Specific Responsibilities:
- Gain supplier representation
- Coordinate with Business Analyst, Marketing Manager and Consumer Insights in Stamford to provide a comprehensive view of private label opportunities at the customer.
- Work with Category Managers to develop category business plans, encompassing analysis of current share and penetration, unit and dollar penetration goals, optimal mix, shelf placement, promotional plans and merchandising recommendations.
- Maintain relationships with key suppliers for all issues: development, replenishment, product distribution, communication of sales opportunities, promotions etc.
- Be the key contact for resolving issues with private label suppliers in their categories.
- Analyze each private label grocery and natural/organic categories for development opportunities (new items, merchandising, promotional, SKU rationalization) within framework of category plans for customer.
- Develop and execute a process to measure and improve the performance of private label in a category, store and regional basis.
- Provide a monthly update to key personnel at customer of key activities related to private label performance in assigned categories.
- Collect and distribute sales, share, program status, general information and trends (competitors, trade) in assigned categories.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Category Managers, department directors and upper management including procurement, advertising, merchandising, marketing and retail.
- Attend sales and advertising meetings and recommend promotional ideas to merchandising and advertising committees.
- Facilitate the integration of the customer's private label in category plan-o-grams.
- Work with the private label marketing manager in development of annual promotional calendars in their assigned categories.
- Create, establish and maintain relationships with supplier representatives. Educate suppliers on private label go-to-market strategy at the customer. Provide sales and marketing opportunities consistent with the customer's brand strategies.
- Coordinate quality control efforts and work with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Assist Director of Business Development and Category Managers in annual reviews with key suppliers.

- 3 three years business experience dealing with grocery and natural/organic retailer or suppliers
- College Degree required
- Eligible to work in US
